Under the COVID pandemic, wearing mask becomes a part of our
daily life. Although it prevents the spread of the COVID, we have lost our
facial expressions while speaking, which are hidden behind the mask. Crystagram
is a wearable device that expresses human facial expression through a series of
crystal light configuration. It’s a mask that reimaging the relationship
between human, language, facial expression to its surroundings and mask itself.
Crystagram redefines the perception of facial expression while speaking through
a series of two-dimensional diagrams that are generated by these crystals.

Concepts:
Approach:
- A mask that represents human facial expression through a series of crystal (the light patterns that it generates).
- A mask reimaging the relationship between human, language, facial expression to its surroundings and mask itself
- A mask gives human language two dimensional diagrams and redefines the perception of facial expression while speaking.
Approach:
- Utilizing microphone sensor to collect data through sound wave
- Utilizing the sound wave as input to control 3 servo motors
- Depicting the data to establish variations of rotation.
